is in the house….
in 1954 prince bentheim tecklenburg and leo lübke began manufacturing upholstered furniture in rheda-wiedenbrück under the name of cor, which is Latin for heart. from the swinging sixties with the conseta sofa to the seventies with trio and the eighties with zyklus until today, cor remains at the forefront of design.
“we heart cor because of its long history of innovative design. this year is the 50th anniversary of the conseta sofa, so we’ve built our display around the conseta, but with a new interpretation, new fabric & configuration. it’s elegant yet comfortable,” says oscar glottman. “we’re also showing new pieces from cor, such as the jalis bench, quant chairs and the shrimp chair, which represent cor’s evolving spirit.”
