wynwood, FL – (november, 2012) – glottman continues its tradition of celebrating the relationship between the arts and design in our contemporary lifestyle. this year we are featuring an installation in collaboration with trendsetting german/swedish, textile firm kinnasand ( kinnasand.de ) and vanguard Italian lighting company viabizzuno ( viabizzuno.com ).
the manichini dance is an installation whereby celebrated design textiles become the actor and perform in an haute couture choreography of the unexpected.
exhibitions and events will take place from november 2012 to february 2013 including the week of art basel miami in december. the strategic venues of the installation are the artsee store in south beach, miami’s most concurred neighborhood and the glottman showroom in wynwood, miami’s fantastic art district.
a company of 40 mannequins, each a performer, will be dressed in kinnansand textile haute-couture garments and illuminated by viabizzuno light and shadow elements. two installations, each representing a story of innovation in textile design and lighting design. behold this eye candy; objects of desire for fashion connoisseurs and design trendsetters alike!
