the 111 navy chair is a collaboration between coca-cola and emeco to solve an environmental problem: up-cycling consumer waste into a sustainable, timeless, classic chair. made of 111 recycled PET bottles, the 111 navy chair is a story of innovation.
every week day, 10 truckloads of bales consisting of more than 20,000 bottles arrive at the processing plant. each individual chair is made of 9lbs of recycled PET plastic pellets or approximately 111 plastic bottles.
